Neurosurgeon and researcher Dr. Gustavo Rassier Isolan was recently honored with the Farroupilha Medal of Merit. Dr. Isolan is founder of the center for Advanced Neurology and Neurosurgery (CEANNE), a private company that operates on 3000 public healthcare neurosurgical patients per year. The medal was awarded unanimously by the State Legislature of Rio Grande do Sul. It is the state’s highest honor, given in recognition of those who demonstrate notable contributions to the economic, social and cultural development of the region.
