Two patients with complex brain aneurysms underwent surgery yesterday at CEANNE, located at Hospital Regional de Santa Maria.
The procedures were performed by the head of the service, Dr. Rodrigo Tavares, together with Dr. Ricardo Santos, coordinator of vascular neurosurgery. Through the work of the medical team, both patients from Brazil’s public health system received specialized neurosurgical care for highly complex cerebrovascular conditions.
Complex brain aneurysms require careful evaluation, advanced technical expertise, and a hospital structure prepared for high-complexity neurosurgical procedures. The achievement reinforces the role of CEANNE and Hospital Regional de Santa Maria in providing specialized care within the public health system.
